Tectonic Amber Baroque Necklace

Inspired by fossilized amber from the sap of ancient trees that has hardened over millions of years, Africalis resin necklace replicates in lightweight form the color and characteristics of traditional amber. Like Amber, our beads are of a warm golden color but can display a range of hues to include deep orange and yellow.  Just as real amber includes insect and plant material, our beads - while embedded with real crushed amber - incorporate moss and air bubbles. These inclusions are what make amber so compelling,

The Tectonic Amber beads are strung on brass wire with a brass clasp.  Between each bead we insert a charm composed of semi precious stones, The beads and charms are assembled by women in a rural area of South Africa, providing them with employment and a means of developing their talent and future careers.

As amber is hand poured, colors vary and no two items are alike.
