About Us

We take the wonders of Africa and replicate its billion-year-old rocks, lava deposits and fossils using the lightweight form of resin. Our love of Africa extends to its wildlife, terrain, exotic flora and its spiritual view of the universe, all of which we express in unique resin beads and sculptural forms. Made by hand and assembled by skilled artisans in rural South Africa, we offer an alternative to conventional western jewelry.

Young women and men are discovering and nurturing their talents and creative abilities in Africalis’ studio and its rural center.  Mixing dyes; pouring resin into sculpted molds; shaping and assembling beads, the artisans of Africalis are inspired to find new career paths and opportunity for personal growth.
